- Q1
- What is Dispenser?
- A1
- Our producing Dispensers mean that controllers and peripheral devices supply all kinds of liquid precisely.
These dispensers are used not only in electronics field but also in medical and food industries. We have a variety of fluid dispensers for any purpose.
- Q2
- What are dispensing applications?
- A2
- IEI dispenser's applications as follows;
- Molding electric parts, such as small relay
- IC coating by epoxy
- Temporary fixation of chips by UV binder
- Grease coating to gear case
- Silver paste dispensing at the die-bonding process
- Underfill for CSP, BGA
- Encapsulation for CSP, BGA
- Solder paste dispensing (Dot or Line)
- Silicon sealing for LED panel and so on
- Filling up liquid materials to cosmetic bottles

- PCB separator for cell phone
- Glue and UV curing to lens parts
- Pick & place
- Q3
- What about dispensing system structure?
- A3
- There are two kinds of system according to control system, liquid flow rate control system and volume control system.
Liquid flow rate control system
System 1 (Barrel system) and System 2 (Cartridge system) :
Liquid material filled in the pressure container are supplied compressed air from the dispenser direct to material.
System 3 and System 4 (Valve + Cartridge system and Valve + Tank system) :
Material filled in the pressure container is pressured and controlled by switch on and off the flow route.Pressurization ON-OFF
Flow route ON-OFF
Volume control system
This system has a chamber on the flow route for measurement of dispensing volume.

- Q4
- Is it available to manufacture the automatic system with dispenser?
- A4
- Yes. We can provide desktop robot system, stand-alone type and fully automated dispensing system follow customer requirement.
- Q5
- Do you have any dispensing controllers which can save dispensing data into controllers?
- A5
- Yes. ACCURA 9 and ACCURA 8DX have 100 channels, and ACCURA DG has 500 channels for data memories.
- Q6
- Is it available to connect to PC and manage the data?
- A6
- Yes. ACCURA 9 and ACCURA 8DX can save and load the dispensing data using RS232C. ACCURA DG has IEI's special communication software.
- Q7
- Is there any solutions for changing shot volume caused by material level decreasing?
- A7
- Yes. ACCURA series have the function to compensate material level decreasing.
What is the variation by material level decreasing (space capacity difference)?
Decreasing the material level in the barrel makes increasing space capacity, therefore it delays in the pressure wave and it tends to decrease the amount of dispensing. It causes a variation of dispensing accuracy.
Delay of shot pressure corrugation by height difference
Compensation by ACCURA series (line: blue)
Some of ACCURA series can solve volume variation by IEI original technology (patented in Japan, U.S.A) and help to prevent dripping by auto-compensation for vacuum pressure.
- Q8
- Is there any solutions for changing shot volume caused by material temperature variation?
- A8
- Yes. Using the temperature control system (NEO-ONE) can dispense under the constant temperature. Especially it is more effective for solder paste and UV adhesive.
- Q9
- Is it available to rent/borrow a system for the demonstration?
- A9
- Yes. We provide the demonstration system as free of charge. Please contact to IEI sales office.
- Q10
- Is it available to testing IEI dispensers with a robot or automatic dispensing system?
- A10
- Yes. It is possible to use our any system for demonstration in our office. Please contact to IEI sales office.
- Q11
- Is it available to get some accessories for testing as free of charges? (Such as Needles, Barrels and Plungers)
- A11
- Yes. We can provide accessory samples for testing. Please contact to IEI sales office.
- Q12
- Is it available to install a dispenser with an automated system?
- A12
- Yes. It is available to external control through 4-pin metal connector on the rear panel of the dispenser unit. In addition, ACCURA series can synchronize from the equipment using RS232C or parallel port.
- Q13
- Is there any method for filling the material into the barrel?
- A13
- Yes. We provide two kinds of filling system, vacuum system and pressurized system.

- Q14
- Is it available to specify the nozzle type?
- A14
- Yes. We can provide custom-made nozzles (length, bend, multiple points) specified customer's request.
